Book of Mormon stylometry
Stylometric analysis of the Book of Mormon, run to see what the method can and cannot actually support.
Run out of curiosity, not apologetics. Several published stylometric claims about this text make assertions the statistics cannot carry — closed-set classifiers, for instance, must assign every text to some candidate author, and so return confident attributions even when the true author was never among the candidates.
The commitment is to method, not outcome: preregister the hypotheses, publish null and unflattering results with the same prominence as any other, and open-source the pipeline so anyone can rerun it and disagree.
